2020: My Year In Reading – The Stats
This year I made the conscious effort to add more diversity to my reading, and #Bookstagram was the perfect platform to open my eyes to genres and authors that I normally would’ve overlooked.
I’m proud of branching out – especially with various LGBTQ+ stories and authors – but I can do better with incorporating more stories by women and marginalized voices. And, while 2020 was a strange year career wise, I didn’t do any reading focused on professional development – a huge miss.
Now that I have a benchmark, I’d like to increase each of my female and BIPOC reading goals by 10 percent in 2021. Help keep me accountable by sharing your recommendations!
